Electronic Health Records are here!
Summit Family Practice began the “go-live” process with our new electronic health record (EHR) in July (Anchorage) and August (Palmer). This is a work in progress, and we are at the very beginning! We appreciate your patience as we make this transition.
We are asking you to update your demographics and health history on paper forms the first time we see you; after that updates can be done directly into the EHR.
The providers are now recording visit notes in the HER, and continue to send prescriptions electronically.
Other changes coming soon:
A secure patient portal: access health information including your medications, allergies and immunizations; inform us of changes to your demographic or health information; request appointments; receive visit summaries, test results and reminders by email. Other features will be added over time.
An electronic interface with LabCorp: test results from LabCorp will download directly into your electronic chart and the provider will receive a message including a notice whether results are abnormal.
Our Anchorage and Palmer providers welcome new patients, including those with Medicare and Medicaid.

Anchorage Clinic Hours:
Mon., Tues, Wed. and Friday 7:30am -5:00pm
Thursday 7:30am -12pm & 1:30pm - 5:00pm
Our Anchorage location is open at 7:30am for walk-in lab work for established patients.
Palmer Hours:
Open 7 days a week, Sunday - Saturday, 9am -7pm.

Travel Medicine Services! SFP in Anchorage is happy to announce that we are now offering comprehensive travel medicine consultations for your upcoming overseas travel. We are a State of Alaska recognized Travel Medicine Clinic. We offer vaccinations and prescriptions necessary for travel, personalized to your travel destination and anticipated activities. We will provide you with the latest recommendations to make your trip as safe and healthy as possible. Be sure you schedule your travel consult early to make sure the vaccines have time to work Please bring your immunization record to your appointment.
